Welcome to the Secular UK web site

The National Secular Society (NSS) does a fantastic job of campaigning nationally for secular aims.

We want your help to set up local groups to campaign for those same aims:

  • To encourage everyone to believe what they like - as long as they cause no harm to anyone else
  • To dis-establish the Church of England, to get Bishops out of the House of Lords and to get religion out of law making.
  • To stop religions imposing their rules on our lives.
  • To end the imposition of religious worship on all schools.
  • To promote teaching about all belief systems - religious and non-religious - so that pupils can make up their own minds.
  • To convert all faith schools into secular state schools. There will be no cost involved in doing this - we pay 100% of the costs already!
  • To end all taxpayer subsidies to religions.

Local groups are independent and speak for themselves - they do not speak for the NSS. We strongly recommend that you join the NSS.
